Examination consists of :

Detailed medical history & family history
Lifestyle assessment & questionnaire – smoking & alcohol intake, diet & exercise details.
Height & weight measurements
Visual acuity test. Urinalysis
Fasting blood cholesterol
Faecal occult blood test. Stool samples are screened indicate bleeding from some point along the gastrointestinal tract. This may warrant further evaluation.
Complete physical examination
Urinalysis (screening tests for diabetes and kidney disorders)
Males–prostate examination if over 50 yrs
Females-breast examination

Optional extra test includes smear testing ( € 60 extra )

Complete Physical examination
A stress ECG (Exercise electrocardiograph) is carried out as part of this medical. A stress test is a very accurate non invasive screening test for detecting, often asymptomatic, coronary heart disease.
Individuals exercise for a period of 10-15 minutes during which time serial ECG’s are recorded. The client should bring a towel and track suit/runners as a reasonable amount of exercise will be performed.
